The ASU Center for Applied Behavioral Health Policy is pleased to announce two upcoming Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Symposiums<http://cabhp.asu.edu/events/medication-assisted-treatment-symposium> to be held on August 6 in Tucson August 7 in Phoenix!

These symposiums are designed to provide an overview of medication-assisted therapy (MAT). Both events will feature expert keynote presenter Mark Parrino, President of the American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (AATOD), Inc.

Symposium participants will gain an understanding of the types of MAT as well as myths and benefits associated with each and will learn how to utilize information about MAT to advocate for interventions within the criminal justice system. The training will explore trends in prescription opioid abuse and strategies for increasing access to treatment for those with opioid addiction.

These FREE trainings are made possible in part by the generous support of ADHS/DBHS, AATOD, SAMHSA/CSAT, and La Frontera Arizona. Space is limited and advance registration is required.
