Reminder! - The Student Planning Association developed a survey to gain feedback on how planners can assist during times of crisis, in particular relating to the COVID-19 pandemic. To keep it simple, all questions are on one page and no questions are required.

By crowdsourcing ideas, we are hoping to identify ways our profession can aid the community as well as generate ideas for planning research. The findings of this survey will be distributed to planners in the region.

Dear fellow students-

Since the field of planning emerged to respond to an urbanizing world, a number of books and writings have left a permanent mark on the way that we plan and build cities. These books have shaped the imaginations of all kinds of planners, from Ebenezer Howard's bold ideas to build true community life to Jane Jacobs' careful analysis of how neighborhoods function. However, many of these books can be tough to tackle alone, and many planners may come from backgrounds where these books aren't assigned in classes.

Greetings from Borderlands Restoration Network in Patagonia, Arizona. We're excited to share this bi-national, experiential learning opportunity with you and your students. Although the Field School doesn't start until mid-July, we encourage people to apply early due to limited space. We are planning for approximately 15 students this summer. This course is an amazing opportunity to learn and experience first-hand the restoration economy of the Southern Arizona / Northern Mexico borderland region. Participants can expect to gain practical skills in watershed restoration, native plant propagation, foodshed and community restoration. Limited scholarships are available to cover tuition. Dates: July 15th-
